“INVESTMENTS AND INHERITANCES OF PLASTIC

The production and dissemination of plastics are deeply invested in the upholding of settler colonialism and imperialism. This is evident in patterns of waste colonialism and in the placement of petrochemical factories. Using plastics as a cautionary tale, this presentation will ask how to address the question of governing plastics that attempts to center an anticolonial approach.
