Biography
Diana Strassmann is the Carolyn and Fred McManis Distinguished Professor in the Practice at Rice University’s Center for the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality and director of Rice’s Program in Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities. She is the founding editor of the journal Feminist Economics, now its 27th year of publication. Additionally, she co-founded the International Association for Feminist Economics and was the founding board chair of the Wiki Education Foundation. Strassmann has published widely in the fields of economic regulation, environmental policy and feminist economics. She holds degrees in economics from Princeton (A.B.) and Harvard (M.A., Ph.D.).
