Constanza Cortes, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Gerontology at the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, where she leads a research program at the intersection of neuroscience, metabolism, and aging. Her lab investigates how exercise and systemic physiology influence brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, with a particular focus on the role of skeletal muscle as a signaling organ that modulates brain health.
