1. Those approaching Houston on I-45 North or I-45 South should take the US 59 south exit. From US 59 south, take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset and an immediate left on Main Street. At the corner of Main Street and University Boulevard is the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC). The parking entrance is on the south side of the building on Dryden Road.

2. Those approaching Houston from the north on US 59 (heading south) should take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset and an immediate left (south) on Main Street. At the corner of Main Street and University Boulevard is the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC). The parking entrance is on the south side of the building on Dryden Road.

3. Those approaching Houston from the south on US 59 (heading north) should exit at Main Street, stay in the right lane and turn right (south) on Main. Two streets past the light at West Holcombe Boulevard is Dryden Road. Go left and the parking entrance to the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC) is on your right.

Driving to Rice University from East or West
1. Those approaching Houston from the west on I-10 East should take 610 South to 59 North and exit at Greenbriar. Stay on the frontage road, turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left on Rice Boulevard. Stay on Rice Boulevard until it becomes Sunset. Turn right on Main Street (south). At the corner of Main Street and University Boulevard is the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC). The parking entrance is on the south side of the building on Dryden Road.

2. Those approaching Houston from the east on I-10 West should take the US 59 South exit. From US 59 South, take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset Boulevard and an immediate left (south) on Main Street. ). At the corner of Main Street and University Boulevard is the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC). The parking entrance is on the south side of the building on Dryden Road.

3. Those approaching Houston from the northwest on 290 should take 610 South to 59 North and exit at Main Street, stay in the right lane and turn right (south) on Main. Follow Main and at the intersection of Main and University Boulevard is the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC). The parking entrance is on the south side of the building on Dryden Road.

 

Parking:
Parking will be available in the BRC parking garage, off Dryden and Main Street.
The BRC parking facilities are comprised of a three-level underground garage with approximately 325,000 square feet of space and can hold up to 762 parked vehicles. The rate for the BRC Garage is $1 per 12 minutes, $11 daily maximum.

Payment method is by CASH or CREDIT CARD - At the garage entrance, the driver uses his credit card or pulls an entry ticket from the machine to open the gate. The visitor is instructed to park on the first floor (B1). If the visitor pulled a ticket, he or she will carry the entry ticket with them when they exit the car. When ready to leave, the visitor stops at the "pay-on-foot" machine near the elevators. As instructed by the machine, the visitor inserts the ticket into the machine and is shown the amount owed. The visitor may then pay with cash (coins or paper currency) or credit card. The machine issues an exit ticket. The visitor then drives to the exit gate, inserts the exit ticket, and the gate opens. To print a receipt, the visitor can push the button next to the word "Receipt" on the pay-on-foot machines. IMPORTANT - if you are issued a validation, please insert it FIRST into the machine, it will keep the validation. Then, insert the credit card used or ticket pulled at the entry and the gate will open.

Please note: When entry tickets are used, multiple tickets may be paid sequentially using a single credit card. When entering by inserting a credit card, only one car may enter per credit card.
