From Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
1. From Intercontinental's terminal road, follow signs to US 59 South.
2. Once on US 59 proceed south approximately 25 miles and exit at Greenbriar.
3. Turn left under US 59 and follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard.
4. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Rice campus entry gates will be on your right.
5. Turn right into Gate 18 and follow the signs to any visitor parking lot.
6. Ride the free campus shuttle from the bus shelters to your campus destination.
From Hobby Airport (HOU)
1. From Hobby's parking area, exit onto Broadway and follow signs to I-45 North.
2. Take I-45 North approximately 6 miles to US 59 South.
3. Once on US 59 proceed south approximately 3 miles and exit at Greenbriar.
4. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Rice campus entry gates will be on your right.
5. Turn right into Gate 18 and follow the signs to any visitor parking lot.
6. Ride the free campus shuttle from the bus shelters to your campus destination.
Parking:
1. Most accessible parking is in West Lot 1 across the street from
Alice Pratt Brown Hall (Entrance 18) . This lot has gated
entrances, requiring the driver to insert a credit card (MasterCard,
VISA, American Express, or Discover). Credit card is required at
both entry and exit. Cash is not accepted at the gated lots, nor are
debit cards. Parking fees accrue at the rate of $1.00 per 40
minutes, with a $1.00 minimum and a $9.00 daily maximum. Drivers
who enter but cannot find a space will not be charged if they exit
within ten minutes.
2. Underground parking is available in the Central Camps Garage
(Entrance 20) beneath the Jones Graduate School of Management,
located immediately east of the Shepherd School. The parking fee
is $3.00 per hour, with a $9.00 daily maximum. Both credit cards and
cash are accepted here.
3. Free parking is only available in the Greenbriar Lot (Entrance 9,
between the Rice Stadium and Greenbriar Drive). There is a Rice
shuttle bus stop located in the Greenbriar Lot, and the buses run
approximately every five to ten minutes (8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.), Monday
through Friday before 10:30 p.m.
